Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking about how energy systems and sustainable transportation intersect, and one piece of the puzzle that caught my attention is traction transformers. Even if it sounds technical, these devices quietly play a big role in how electricity powers trains, trams, and other electric transport systems.

At a basic level, traction transformers take electricity from the grid and convert it into a form that can be safely used by vehicles. Without them, electric transport wouldn’t run as efficiently, and energy losses would be higher. This makes them a small but essential part of modern, sustainable transit infrastructure.
